Ouroboros

erendis

I am folly, I am wisdom
I am zero, I am void
I am hunger, I am fullness
In totality, destroyed

I am the mud, I am the lotus
I am the sun, I am the sky
I am order, I am chaos
Insatiable, sublime

The stream that leads into the sea
The coal that feeds eternal flame
Surging, coiling
I am the flower and the bee
Mother Demeter, come to me

The rain that falls as heavy drops
I am what's left when all time stops
Integral, totality
Indifferent possibility

I am evil, I am goodness
I am lost, and I am found
I am dark, and I am brightness
I am all, and I am none

I am hunger, I am craving
Embryonic, and emergent
I am hate, and I am lust
Unbegotten, imminent

I am the verdant earth
I bring myself to birth

See us as we really are
Sanguine, moribund
Cosmic horror, distant stars
Brazenly displayed upon our skin

A very interesting poem that explores the idea that everything contains its opposite: light and dark, good and evil, emptiness and fullness. It reflects on the deep connection between life, death, and rebirth, using powerful symbols like the lotus, the flame, and the goddess Demeter. The speaker describes themselves as both the beginning and the end, constantly changing and feeding into themselves like a circle. It suggests that beneath the surface of who we are lies something vast, mysterious, and cosmic. A thoroughly enjoyable read.🕊️🙏🏻

A masterful write of the opposites that give birth and death to all things in an eternal cycle. A fave

A wonderful write of the opposites, all encompassed in the cycle of eternity. a suggestion that maybe inside of us lies something much bigger that we are yet to discover, enjoyed the read
