Five days later, your dad,
your mum, even your siblings —
they all ate, with joy.
Your family slowly forgot.
They gently returned
to their normal lives,
like a lost chicken
finding its way home.
Your organs turned to liquid,
no longer holding hope—
hope of you returning.
Your body changed color,
like your favorite fruit leaf—red!
It shifted slowly
from green to red. It did.
Did you also notice?
Did you see the changes?
Did you see how your body
turned to your favorite color: Red.

The meaning of this poem is enigmatic and could be anything from embarrassment to being dead.. A cold and dark write on the one hand and a puzzling on on the other. A roll coaster of a ride of a poem. Well done
This part had me thinking, is the changing of colour due to the embarrassment felt because his family had already returned to their normal lives, nicely expressed and written
