I write and write

amethyste

I write and write
It is my lust
It is my fury
But on some days like this
I wonder
Do they mean anything to you?

I read every word and read again
I warm with each syllable
Until I’m hot and vibrating
This Summer Sun awakens
My wonder and desire
How can I convey this, are words enough?

    If you say so mister.

A poem that asks that question of whether words can communicate what resides inside. How can small marks on a page convey what lies inside. Insightful and well written.
