The Sky Wasn’t Her

Vanna

The Sky Wasn't Her

Today, I went outside for the first time in weeks.

And I noticed— the sky is different.

She’s not as vibrant as she was. Her heart doesn’t shine as bright as it used to. (The sun.)

Her thoughts don’t drift like they used to either. (The clouds.) They stall. They forget to move.

It’s like she just stopped being her.

She looked sad— but she wasn’t crying. (No rain.)

She didn’t scream, didn’t thunder. She didn’t even try.

Just stood there, silent.

Like a ghost of her former self.

The analogies are great and it makes one wonder why. Nicely done
