You fix your makeup like the universe needs approval to keep spinning, Like beauty was something you had to fight for.
But don’t you know? Galaxies collapse trying to imitate your smile!
You try on dress after dress, As if fabric could ever do justice to the masterpiece, That is your presence.
Girl… you were flawless in my eyes Thirty minutes ago and every second since.
If your mirror refuses to tell you the truth,
Let me be your reflection, Let me hold you still and whisper,
"Out of every girl on this planet…You’re the only one who stopped time."
The world? It quiets down when you walk in.
Spotlights chase you, Boys freeze in line,
But they’ll never know; This stage was built for you and me alone.
Tonight, I won’t let this feeling die.
I’ll hold your hand so tight; Even eternity will be jealous.
You wonder if you’re enough?
Baby, stop. You don’t even have to try.
Don’t try; Just be.
Because all of the stars; Look dim next to you.
And in this moment, There is no one else.
No crowds, No noise, No world.
Just you and I.
