ANOTHER DAY OF WAR

nephilim56 ( Norman Dickson)

Marble wings
Imprison flight
Upon the sadness
Of this night
Its moonlit passage
Frozen eyes
Tremble still
As tears cried.

To God implore
Let children live
As bombs and bullets
Continue to kill
Missiles and hunger
Acts of war
Do you watch
Do you care ?

Tired moments
Hang their heads
Mans inhumanity
Hatred fed
A weary world
Side glance away
Where is justice
Upon another day ?

A poem for peace. I hear the frustration in this poem. The meter drives it with periodic rhyme to hold and give more power. A lovely write with a worthy theme. Very nicely done

Painful truths expressed in such a sensitive and direct way. Thank you so much for sharing. Best regards.

    It’s all
    Gonna burn.
