Born A Valentine

Xalvazora

I was born a Valentine,
Thinking there would be a "mine."
I daydream all the time,
Waiting for them to arrive.

They don't have to be picture-perfect,
Just a little mean on the surface.
Do I even deserve this?
Not sure if love is worth it.

I've waited so long,
All my life.
Loneliness hurts,
It's hard to trust -

Makes me want to rush.
As I chase someone,
They're not my someone.

Loneliness is like a hole,
Not sure when I'll be whole.
I was told it was in my soul,
That someone will make me whole.

Love is my strength,
But not romance.
I'm nurturing and loving,
Good for a future wife -
In the future,
Let me be a wife.

I was born a Valentine,
When will I find "mine"?
