Trapped in pain

Nicole Pritchard

Trapped and lost, I wander wide

Feeling hunted, with no place to hide

Pain and despair, a constant weight

Uncertainty reigns, day and endless night

Every step I take to more pain

No escape in sight, I'm trapped in vain

Running blind, with no direction to claim

A sense of freedom, lost in this endless game

Like prey in the wild, I'm chased and worn

No reason to rhyme, just hurt and scorn

Longing to break free, to find my way

But shadows surround me, night and day

Nice rhyme in a sad story. Well written it bleeds out on the page. Well done
