Phoenix Rebirth

maydanae

Phoenix, rebirth

Arise from the ashes

Your wounds and your gashes

From enemy lashes

Had shaped who you are

But who you are shifts

So mend broken pieces

And bridge over rifts

Your fiery feathers

And talons of steel

The way that they move

And the way that you feel

Were given new life and their current appeal

From a you of the past

Who still had to heal

Tethered wings of this past

Fallen into the hearth

Builds a new molten cast:

A Phoenix Rebirth

The sense of someone ready to move on from a difficult past and mould a postive future, enjoyed the read

  • sorenbarrett

A graphic description of a regeneration of the fabled bird that burst into flames and regenerated from the ashes. Well done with rhyme and good meter
