Red in the morning.

Keeter C

Red skies in the morning.

A safe harbor  I

seek.

In a storm I ran afoul.

It looked safe sailing all was norm.

The sea I thought I had tamed.

The sea taught me thru and thru.

Do I even brave my ankles in the wet?

The ocean I will not relinquish for if I do what have I won?

A beautiful image turned metaphor in this poem. The storms of relationships can be treacherous but we hesitate to relinquish them. A lovely write
