Morning Dew

Priya Tomar

Proudly dew sitting on leaf with thorn

Thinks, nobody so blessed has born

Questions on creeper's virginity

Fool chose lust over loyalty

Two came cloaked in innocent grace

One smiling with rays, second famed for fragrance

Tender dew had no clue, no sense

Lovingly touched and  erased existence

Masked in metaphor, dipped in rhyme a most magnificent poem sublime. Very poetically written this poem in its brevity conveys feelings of human relationships their purity, innocence, desires, deception, broken bonds. So well conceived and portrayed in wonderful natural images. A definite fave

Incredible story. It left me stunned and reflective. I enjoyed it from the beginning. Then, the final ending is tremendous; it splits me in half like a sword. I'm amazed. Thank you so much for sharing. Best regards.

This is quite the haunting, yet quiet parable...innocence undone by what it couldn’t foresee. The dew, the thorn, the touch...it’s sensual and sorrowful in the same breath. A delicate, devastating piece. 🌹👏 Well done, friend.

and so it is with human relationships too - trust is soon broken, and the innocence cruelly ripped apart
