What can a man do when he has no room?
No one to show his stress, his truth, all is repressed
One can laugh and dance, even frolic with the crowd
But little do they know there is a devil on his neck
It is easy to lead a life of smiles when there is an audience
However, the true ordeal comes when there is nobody left
He will cry, he will weep and attempt to throw himself asleep
All to no avail when he faces despair and feel the morning’s breath
He then begins to lead a life seeking validation
Partying, doing drugs just to hear congratulations
All to then realize he was chasing a misconception
The feeling he wanted wasn’t just empty praise
It was warmth and empathy directed at his name
At the notice of his true goal, it might have been too late
All his fooling around could’ve made him a jest
A man will struggle in silence, hoping someone will see his wounds
But at the time of notice there would’ve been butterflies in his chest
