It's Hot But by how much Hot

Kevin Hulme

Its Hot It's Hot but by How much is it Hot?

Its Hotter I'd say than a Chilli Root,

Raquel Welch in a Bathing Suit.

It's Hotter than a new Road steaming with Tar,

The 'Status' we're told of a Stolen car.

A searing Laser for troublesome Spies,

A Solitary Black bird baked in a Pie.

The Flush on your face that was part of your Teens,

T.V. with your Parents and those Sexual Scenes.

The Sahara Desert at 12 O'clock high,

I'm that Hot-Air Balloon as it ascends to the Sky.

Racing Car Tyres at the end of a Race,

Your in a Police Line-Up and they point out your face.

Begin with a Jacuzzi then a Sauna or Two,

A day in Pompey when Vesuvius blew.

The Vein of a Geyser with it's temper shed,

The Engine Room of a Ship when it's 'Full Speed Ahead'.

To many French Fries forked in the Mouth,

The fate of the Witch in a Gingerbread house.

Dressed as a 'Wookiee' by the Furnace Door,

My Twelfth Cup of coffee they're beginning to pour.

The Fixtures and Fittings of the Devil's Abode,

And the Human Torch in Superhero mode.

The Mercury's Rising soon ringing the Bell,

Please a change in the Weather for this torture to quell.

In Short - It's Hot.

    Very humourous read, enjoyed

Now there are several very creative cliches there that took a good deal of thought. Light hearted and well rhymed. This was a fun read and deserves a fave

        You are welcome

        Too hot to handle!

Thank you. I think the People in the 'Press' make more of a Deal out of it. If it's Hot in London, then it's Hot everywhere. Even though Temperatures are different in other parts of the U.K.

That's why the news and the press have less and less realty space in my time and thinking.
