Waves on the shore.

Baker

Waves on the shore.

I see them crest.

I see them break.

I want them to pull me in.

Wash me away.

Sandcastles like monuments.

Once standing tall.

Suddenly washed away.

Like nothing was there all along.

Listening to the ocean.

I hear the song.

I feel a stillness.

I’m at peace only for this moment.

Warm sand below me.

Sun kisses my face.

Distant thunder cracks.

Nothing stays the same.

A poem on change and so true it is. Change is the only constant and so it is with all things. Great metaphor with the sand castle. A poem nicely written.

A lovely write, change is the only thing we know is going to happen except death, and we need to learn to adapt to it, nicely expressed and written
