Carried by the wind
playing on the hair
of the Ostend dunes .
Honeymoon ,
with the great white birds
that speak a time of clouds...
In the whim of the wave ,
rediscovering my barbaric
pirate roots ,
anchored in a flemish reverie ...
Red light house on port !
Hard a-starboard !
Sea as soft as a watercolor
still wet ...
A fresh breeze bites sharp
with the acrid tang
of old pipe smoke
and bitter tobacco !
The earth is but a mirage
that stretches out its arms
and beckons me ,
leaving in the wake of the deep
some distant laps of nostalgia...
The sails rears up ,
chestnut defying the horizon ,
tracing the story of all
my shipwrecks ...
On the pier a white shadow
will wait ...
Marriage of sun and silence ,
the bride of the ocean don't cry.
And I ,solo sailor
in the rolls of my imaginary ,
'' Heave-ho seaman ! "
In the quest of the sea of tranquility !
Hapless poet on your makeshift raft ,
torn by these coral passions ...
Lost in a tropic of ink
my compass spins like crazy !
My worlds adrift ,
child embarked on the legend
of a ghostship ...
Where's my treasure island ?
My coffe cup is empty...
Inspiration flickers
Like a blue mist in my mind ,
Leaward depression ...
Motionless voyager ,
No one will welcome you ,
wandering will never end ...

Hello lorenz,
Every line in this most excellent poem is so carefully and beautifully composed. Aesthetically crafted with poetic elegance, to leave the reader breathless. I just love anything to do with the ocean, mariners and sailing, o, yes, pirates too and they are all in this verse. Please have yourself another cup of coffee, me hearty.
Wishing you all the very best,
Tony.
I found my island at the bottom of my coffee cup !
This is a poem about an inner sea. Its solitude is not a tragedy, but a way of being. The solitude of an artist who builds a whole world out of fragile symbols and elusive allusions - a world that perhaps no one will ever fully understand…
It’s a confession from someone who has always been adrift - sailing through the waters of memory, imagination, and the subconscious.
A beautiful, exquisite piece!
Poet who speaks as we dream...
And dreams as we die...
