Lay down you now upon me in your rhythms an’ bows,
with mandolins an’ violins an’ ruby lips hellos.
Oh dance me, romance me; the posse’s goin’ home.
We’ll tango in Durango ‘till the morrow on the morn.
We’re safe across the borderline; the sheriff’s got the blues.
In bandanas an’ sombreros, we’ll kick off our prison shoes.
I’ll take ya’ nay forsake ya ’an’ I’ll give ya all I got.
We’ll tango in Durango though I haven’t got a lot.
We’re hootin’ an’ we’re tootin’ in tequila’s hot desire.
A-movin’ an’ a-groovin’, we’ll set the night on fire.
We’ll dance like wild amigos ‘till the band can play no more.
We’ll tango in Durango like ’twas never done before.
Oh, we’ll shimmer an’ we’ll simmer on the searin’ desert sand.
We’re shakin’ an’ we’re bakin’ with passion on demand.
We’re swingin’ an’ we’re singin’, we’re steppin’ on the tune.
We’ll tango in Durango like the end is comin’ soon.
Hold me closer, dance me baby; ya got me hypnotized.
We’re tickin’ an’ we’re tockin’, our bodies synchronized.
I’m starvin’ for ya’ darlin’ won’t ya’ feed me with your moves.
We’ll tango in Durango ‘till we make the mornin’ news.

"Ole" my friend! Your Tango in Durango is sensual, intoxicating, beautifully crafted, and leaves me yearning for more. Bravo Senior!!
Hello Bella,
I really got you moving with this one. I was on the verge of dancing myself when writing this and I'm not what you would call a great dancer. Your response is lovely and very much appreciated.
All the best,
Tony.
Your poem "Tango in Durango" embodies the essence of romance, freedom, and celebration, inspiring a profound yearning to dance and unite with your partner in a vibrant, carefree atmosphere, symbolized by the breathtaking backdrop of Durango—a haven of liberation and joy. Your poem encompasses the beautiful interplay of love, the exhilarating thrill of dance, and the euphoria found in shared experiences, set against the stunning backdrop of a wild, almost rebellious atmosphere.
Hello, Friendship,
Your splendid response opens up this poem in a way, I would never have imagined. Your understanding of poetry and how you express your insight is most admirable and I am very grateful. You are very kind with your time and valued reviews. Thank you ever so much.
Wishing you happiness for the week ahead,
Tony.
I thank you so much for your kind words. I see your poem as different from others. I am different from others, too. I am a hypersensitive person, an Empath, and I've been this way my whole life. Sometimes I overthink things, but this is who I am. I love to read and see the picture you're painting with your words. It takes me a long time to dissect it, but I see the beauty. As an artist, it comes naturally. Sometimes it's good to be who I am, and sometimes it's not. But you're an amazing writer, and I see your painting so beautifully.
Easily a song and I can hear the melody a happy and raucous one at that one that one can not sit out for the feet are tapping indeed. This one reset my mood and anything that can do that deserves a fave.
Hello Soren,
A kick-the-counter verse and that, I got you foot tapping along, well, what more can I ask for.
Kind regards,
Tony.
BRAVO
Another, 'Bravo' and it is very much appreciated, truly.
All the best, Tony,
