Amanda Taylor

i want you to feel

the pain that I feel,

sacrificing for a cause.

I can't believe it's real.

in and out

again and again,

I feel nothing now,

for this is my gain.

in and out

thirty-one times,

eleven lethal,

I can't pay for false crimes.

I smile,

you bleed,

pose—

for me!

This poem could be taken several ways. Reading the author's note I take it is a murder but could be a rape. Sounds to be a stabbing but could be sexual since it is not rated +18 take it to be murder that is always more accepted than sex. Well written

yep, Amanda Taylor was charged with first degree murder for stabbing her father in law. she blamed him for her husband taking his own life. what got me interested is that she expresses she has no remorse, she knew what she was doing and she planned to go on a killing spree. In regards to the final stanza, she is known to have taken a selfie with her father in law and the knife after she did it. Fortunately, she was apprehended. I understand how it could be taken sexually, I thought of that when I wrote it, but you know I love double meanings. Thanks!

Hayleigh, this oneโ€™s brutal in its restraint. The repetition stabs in and out in like a ritualโ€ฆโ€œin and out / thirty-one timesโ€โ€ฆthat line chills and haunts perfectly. You didnโ€™t look away, and neither can we. That final line..."pose for me" indeed. Wow...just wow! Well done, my friend. ๐ŸŒน๐Ÿ‘
