Vessels_

RefugeInRain

You were a vessel,

for me, and all the bad.

My hate, all my selfishness.

You took it, even while I was mad.

You bore my deeds,

and therefore my punishment.

You reached out and received it,

every decision I'll make.

Every foolish remark.

Every foolish mistake.

Crucified it all, through your own self.

Became a broken Vessel.

You came back cleansed and true.

You're the only one who could've done so.

So that thousands of years later,

once I arrived,

you could salvage all these broken pieces,

I've made of myself,

and make me into something new.

Something you sealed completely,

so that I could be a vessel for you.

So that I could become cleansed and true.

So that I could stay with you.
