Until it does

Jeremy Leach

Until it does, we should make our hay

In the glorious sunshine out today

And not to dwell too much on sorrow

For we too might be gone tomorrow

Until it does, we should try to smile

And hope the sun stays out a while

And hope that time will give us more

Of summer days along the shore

Until it does,  I’ll hold your hand

We’ll both explore life’s strangest lands

And wonder at the vast blue skies

Until we reach our last goodbye
