When is a war crime
Not a war crime ?
Hungry kids
With spoons
Ready to scrape
The dried barrels clean
In a hail of bullets
So obscene.
Its all down to politics
Finance and trade deals
We condemn it in a bold voice
While selling the bullets they need
When is genocide
Not a genocide ?
Broken children
Laying dead
Bombed out churches
And hospitals
No electricity, water
Gas.
I tried to keep quiet
My sanity could take no more
Heaven must be almost full
A queue at its door.
To hell with threats
Be careful what you say
In the worlds new apocolypse
Governments turn away.
When is a war crime
Not a war crime
A genocide not politically correct ?
Sick to my stomach
I thought decency
Children protects.

Amazing I was working on a poem of the same topic that I will post tomorrow. Well written for reflection and the question is answered in my mind as war itself is a crime. It becomes a redundancy to say both. A good write.
thanking you
You are welcome
war crimes exist… this poem is the justice
thanking you

Very well.
It has heart touching tone.
Your way of questioning... very nice
thanking you, appreciated
Very welcome...
You described this unfortunately harsh reality in the most right way ! That takes talent.amazing work!!!
very kind thanking you appreciated
A well written and constructed work.
However, questions remain:
What is a war crime?
Is not all war a crime?
Images of dead, dying children heartbreaking, but should those children have been born in the first place?
Your heart, I think is the right place.....
thanking you
