Regrets

Keeter C

Father patriarch you left way too soon. Wish you could see how I love mom to the moon.

The rash childhood days I wasted.

All for a rush I tasted.

Clashed we did.

Brash I was.

If I were God that time would I return to the bottle.

Tho you never did perhaps my neck you would not wish to throttle.

I thought you antiquated telling me institutional lies.

Now I see how you truly you were so wise.

Nostalgic realization of what one has lost with time. Very nicely written.
