Polar opposites

Jeremy Leach

Why do some get drawn to meaning, yet some are only drawn to fun?

Some worry deeply where we’re heading, some care little how the world’s become?

Why do some seek higher truths, while some seek ever higher thrills?

Some study maths for a unified theory, some watch soaps and just pay the bills?

Why do some read late past bedtime, yet some sit playing games all night?

Some seek peace and tranquillity, while some seek vengeance to argue and fight?

Why do some strive to make and create, yet some watch the ad and just buy the thing?

Some love the city's skyline and lights, some love nature and sketch birds on the wing?

Why do some accept opinions and feelings, yet some get locked into a battle of wits?

Some worry about nothing all day, but some think about polar opposites?

Most clever wording in this poem that talks of duality in personality. Set to good rhyme it entertains while it explains. Pairing these opposites it make its point. Well done

A nicely thought out write, valid points made and explained, they say opposites attract, in this write they do, enjoyed the read
