War in the wild

Priya Tomar

Two greedy lions fight

To perform their might

Roaring rules dark forest

Broken eggs fall from the nest

Cubs cry , parrots weep

In worries tender sheep

Forced panda to taste flesh

Koala lost gentle grace

Destroyed sacred green groves

With their sharp nails and claws

Blue brooks turned into red rivers

Seed to weed bear suffering and fever

In this war what they gain

Hunger , Loss and pain

Who is might in the end

Again billet daux they' ll send.

Vvid and sorrowful, Priya. The imagery hits hard...innocents caught in a clash they never asked for. Pretty much the way it universally works out. That closing line carries a bitter truth. Profoundly powerful, my dear friend. 🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛

Your poem revolves around the destructive consequences of conflict and the futility of power struggles, particularly in the animal kingdom. It highlights the suffering that arises from the greed and violence of the lions, which symbolizes broader themes of war and its impact on nature and its inhabitants.
