One Morning

Gunwanti Harish Thanvi

One morning when you'll open eyes,

I won't be near with loving sighs,

The shock will hit you like a test,

But glance at the letter I've left to rest,

I've penned it to guide your every hand,

In my absence, don't let tears stand,

I need your smile, your face so bright,

I'll be watching from the morning light,

Loving you long after my last night.

Touching and tender it speaks of a close relationship that must pursue different paths. Lovely

Tender, touching and loving write to a beloved sister, I got the sense that maybe it was referring to when they had passed, apologies if that's wrong, nicely expressed and written
