the four corners of the world

marymae

Space is an ouroboros.

Lace of stars strung around the sun.

There's you being born on mars

same second you take your last breath

outside my room.

Everyone's waiting for their eternal return.

The four corners of the world are

the living, breathing nucleus of space,

shameless lotus-eaters,

consciousness in a biological way,

giving morphine to a lover.
