An old man
With a glass of rum
In a scruffy bar
Time stood still
Tears in eyes
Old time music plays
More days behind
Than future days.
To himself
Mumbles low
Raises his glass
To a distant show
That his late wife
God bless her soul
He accompanied
Before they grew old.
Upon boney fingers
A wedding ring
That with quivering lips
He plants a kiss
Again he mumbles
Barbara I love you
Before final orders
A love so true.

Love and its course in old age, separation by death but not memories. Nicely crafted
thanking you
You are most welcome
A full lived set of days bring the closing ones much memory, reminiscences and fondness. 🕊️🙏🏻
thanking you, appreciated
Most welcome dear friend. 🕊️
Man the feels.
thanks
