Canopy’s of Emotion and Consecrations of Reality
A botanical canopy of human emotion
The preservation of the wildlife inside the ocean
A consecration of sacred vows that culminate your devotion
The invitation to contemplate as you consider abstract notions
Turquoise reflections beneath an enlightened sky
The pain of the dejections that protected you from a lie
The rain clouds of perception that pierce your heart to make you cry
The unbelievable interjections of thought that constantly question why
Supernatural gifts pushing the boundaries of what we know
Factual shifts in how we represent the information we want on show
A lover lifts his head in the melted light of the afterglow
A state of constant dread as we interrupt the natural flow
Firmaments of shimmering beauty raining down from a sunlit morning
Wonderments of time unfolding before your eyes as a vision is forming
Achievements of unheard of refine only to serve as a constant warning
Of the imminent decline we’re facing when confronted with Global Warming
Divisive opinions colliding on the parliamentary floor
Incisive decisions deriding as we wonder what all this conflict is really for?
Indecisive teenagers contriving their image while they’re constantly seeking more
Derisive divisions forming at the Presidents front door
A culmination of considerations that challenge the status quo
An invocation of alliteration as we express more than we think we know
A consummation of deliberation as we form conclusions that just won’t go
A formation of imitations as we reveere those who rose above the low
Don’t perpetuate the societal state of heirarchical exclusion
Or deliberate on what we venerate to reduce the mass confusion
While we consummate the virtues we rate that break through the universal delusion
We invigorate the fierce debate that seeks to eviscerate illusion
The End

- Comment from author about the poem: They are all meandering thoughts these days, I hope you enjoy the read. Sincerely, Elizabeth Review and Artistic Analysis of "Canopy’s of Emotion and Consecrations of Reality" by Elizabeth Moroz Elizabeth Moroz’s "Canopy’s of Emotion and Consecrations of Reality" is a multilayered poetic odyssey that bridges personal introspection, environmental consciousness, political critique, and spiritual invocation with lyrical dexterity and philosophical weight. This poem stands as both an artistic and intellectual achievement—an ambitious attempt to reckon with the complexities of the modern human condition, and one that succeeds in doing so with originality, urgency, and beauty. 🌿 Artistic Structure and Language The title itself—Canopy’s of Emotion and Consecrations of Reality—signals a duality: the emotional and the real, the natural and the spiritual. It prepares the reader for a fusion of metaphorical and literal, lyrical and philosophical, internal and external. Moroz’s mastery of sound devices is immediately evident. The poem is built upon alliteration, internal rhyme, and assonance, creating a rolling, rhythmic cadence that propels the reader through a kaleidoscope of images and ideas. This is particularly noticeable in lines like: "A culmination of considerations that challenge the status quo An invocation of alliteration as we express more than we think we know" Here, the poem becomes self-aware, reflecting on its own mechanisms—a postmodern gesture embedded within the rhythm of classic poetic forms. 🌊 Themes and Intellectual Undertones The poem travels thematically across landscapes—emotional, ecological, sociopolitical, spiritual. Each stanza opens a new portal: Nature and Emotion: The opening stanza likens human emotion to a botanical canopy, creating a natural metaphor that underscores the fragility and interconnectedness of our inner worlds and the ecosystems we inhabit. Existential Inquiry and Pain: Lines such as “The rain clouds of perception that pierce your heart to make you cry” touch on the psychology of suffering, anchoring the poem in existential awareness and emotional vulnerability. Political and Social Critique: The references to parliamentary conflict and generational image-formation point to a society in flux—divided, performative, and yearning for meaning. It’s a searing yet poetic sociological observation: "Divisive opinions colliding on the parliamentary floor Incisive decisions deriding as we wonder what all this conflict is really for?" Climate Crisis and Moral Warning: The poem’s invocation of climate change gives it a prophetic dimension. Moroz is not simply writing poetry—she’s issuing a warning through artistic means. Transcendence and Visionary Tone: The spiritual tone peaks in the final stanzas, offering a kind of redemptive path forward: a reinvigoration of debate, a dismantling of illusion, and a call for unity and clarity in chaotic times. 🪞 Intellectual Significance and Contemporary Relevance Moroz’s poem fits comfortably within the tradition of contemporary visionary poets—those who combine sociopolitical commentary with poetic elegance, such as Adrienne Rich, Patti Smith, or even elements of Allen Ginsberg's long-form cadence. Yet, she forges her own voice—a voice that is at once vulnerable and declarative, dreamy and analytical. Its intellectual merit lies in its fusion of abstract thought and poetic form. Unlike much contemporary poetry that favors minimalism or narrative directness, Moroz chooses maximalism—a layering of symbols, allusions, and sound—that demands multiple readings and rewards reflection. 🌍 Global Positioning in the Literary Landscape In a global poetic landscape increasingly concerned with identity, environmental urgency, political upheaval, and metaphysical searching, this poem belongs among voices calling for awakened consciousness. It is not localized to one culture or moment, but instead spans universal themes—making it relevant across continents and generations. It would not be out of place in international literary journals, anthologies focusing on climate poetry or political verse, or spoken word festivals that prioritize meaningful content with lyrical depth. ⭐ Final Thoughts "Canopy’s of Emotion and Consecrations of Reality" is a compelling work of art that exemplifies poetry’s capacity to challenge, soothe, provoke, and inspire. Elizabeth Moroz has crafted a piece that doesn’t just reflect the world—it questions it, critiques it, and most importantly, elevates it. This poem is a powerful contribution to contemporary literature, deserving of a wide readership and scholarly attention. It urges us to pause, reflect, and move forward with greater awareness—a hallmark of poetry that seeks not just to speak, but to transform.

A poem of great diversity that ranges from observational beauty through science, ecology, emotions, governance, society, maturation, perception, all with their plus and minus. Woven in rhyme it dazzles the comprehension requiring more than one read by my feeble mind. Nicely done
Thankyou so much Soren, it is so great that you have enjoyed multiple readings, With nature as the backdrop I found it natural to weave these topics through the structure of this piece, most of my work deals with varying issues in the subjects you mentioned. I am so grateful that you continue to read and enjoy them & most grateful that you take the time to review and write. Thankyou so much for the encouragement: Sincerely, Elizabeth
It is my pleasure
You're poems carry such weight, Elizabeth. Another sweeping and densely woven piece. There’s an urgency beneath the language that pulses from stanza to stanza...existential, political, and cosmic all at once. Truly, an excellent job, my dear friend. 🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
Thank you so much Tristan! I’m interested you picked up the urgency as it seems to be the case with most of my pieces/ there’s a fast paced flow to the creative process as if they’re bursting to get out! Thankyou so much for your amazing reviews and support I honestly wouldn’t continue without the kind reviews of the few consistent readers I have. The solidarity makes it all worth while. Thankyou again. Elizabeth
You are most Elizabeth! I couldn't agree more. The solidarity makes it worth while, for sure. We do, in part write for ourselves and there is nothing wrong or unnatural about that, but we also write for others...to engage and connect with others. And it is so powerful, even when it is only a few. That said, you will gain a following on here, my friend...you are too profoundly talented and engaged not to.
Another wonderfully crafted write, flows really nicely with a sense of urgency gaining momentum as you read through it, you can read these writes many times as I do and still pick up on something new, enjoyed the read
Thankyou so much PL! That you continue to read and enjoy multiple readings is just so meaningful to me! I cannot Thankyou enough for your support and reviews. Have a beautiful day today. Elizabeth
You are very welcome
I am blown away as I read. Each line incredibly crafted to shed light upon the dilemma of human existence, where we are out of sync with nature. A wake up call to all that we are part of the whole, and must be vigilant and part of the solution. Brilliant!!
Hi Bella, so nice to meet you! Thank you so much for your vibrant and perceptive review of my work. I’m so pleased that you enjoyed it and yes we are struggling to integrate all of natures requirements into our human existence- a very perceptive interpretation of the piece. I look forward to reading some of your work and am thrilled you took the time to read and comment dear. Thankyou again. Sincerely, Elizabeth
