And yet I insist,
And yet reason insists:
Is the snake guilty of being am snake
Or the porcupine born a porcupine?
Or the two-humped asians camel really?
Or some monster in some state fatally ?
But the scoundrel is guilty of being a scoundrel.
He was born a man after all: and remain a person shall!!

Ah a wonderful meaning to this poem deep and philosophical it speaks to the issue of nature vs nurture and the Christian idea of free will. Nicely put.
