Shooting Stars Never Betray

mya

guide me to what keeps you up at night.
show me your dreams, and i'll show you mine,
but rest for now, the moon is near,
surrender and say—the stars will hear.
everything has been understanding you wrong,
you've been putting up for way too long.
fretting while asleep, uneasy and restless,
but rest for now—there are no expenses.
your sky's a blanket—warmth in the cold,
the wind whispers a fable no one's told.
and dream—wish of a safe place, faraway,
and of a quiet, steady life—
shooting stars never betray.
