Stage

Weep little lion girl

If you must cross the stage to get out of bed

Then may the spotlight like the sun

Set upon your resting soul

This one gave me pause and led to a great deal of thought. That is a good thing in a poem if it causes reflection. All the world is a stage said the great bard. And so here it is used again as a symbol and so awakening one raises from their bed and each day be in the spotlight until death. At the end of the play to be in the spot light would certainly make you the main character. These three short lines give much to think about. Lovely a fave

An interesting and very clever write, the world is a stage and some want the spotlight light on them always, enjoyed the read
