The Sacred Now

DesertWords

There is a song that calls me forward,
into the yet undefined tomorrow.
It is a song of deep resonance
rising from a shadowed place
where dreams first breathe,
where few are allowed,
where the essence of
myself is fashioned
in the heat of
my soul.

There is a song that calls me back,
into the regrets and rewards of
exhausted time.  It is a song
that lures, tempts, a song
whose melody rises and
falls like the inevitable
sea waves that come
again and again to
embrace the
shoreline.
This is the song that celebrates the careful construction
of tentative sand castles and then washes them
away in the necessity of retreat.

There is a song that emerges from the
mixture of tomorrow's anticipation
and yesterday's re-membering.
It bows to neither, welcomes
both.  Only one word is
heard across the
universe.  It
is the song of
Now,
Now,
Now,
Now.

Cosmic music drifts through
the corridors of my consciousness,
uniting tomorrow's shapeless dreams
with yesterday's experiences of
eternity, creating a new song
that forever celebrates
the Sacred Now.

This poem takes a most interesting shape and speaks of the present. Nicely done

A nicely written write of collating and putting to one side yesterday and the past and focusing on the now, enjoyed the read
