life through the stained glass

Yael Olalde-Garcia

distortion,

or perhaps

extortion.

i see sound,

opulence imbibing me.

they sit and watch.

knives end throats.

i know your jugular.

beg me to milk you dry.

intorsion.

composure.

life moves

through the stained glass.

if you’re pure enough,

you’d see them too.

watch the gods wave—

watch them—

don’t look away now,

don’t do it.

watch the leaf wave

call it GOD.

WATCH IT WAVE—

OH GOD

PLEASE

WATCH THE LEAVES WAVE.

DISTORTION

AND COMPOSURE—

NOW HOLD IT, COMPOSE IT,

JAJA,

I WROTE IT.
