She screams in dreams

Maplespal

I want to dream and scream when I sleep,
and the memories when I wake to keep.
I want to comfort and make you weep,
then I want to tuck you back to sleep.
Night terrors sway and swing,
all the thoughts they bring.
I want to walk the path and punch and kick,
fight my way through the thoughts so thick,
protect you from the nights rubbing chafe,
hold your hand and keep you safe.
Night terror me like your view,
so I can be closer there for you.
