Time travelling. Will be around sporadically.
We the people of the free
Nation.
Lives better served in cells 2x2 wide
Abomination.
They don't want to change the damned
Administration.
Who signed the script for
Discrimination?
New Jim Crow is the criminal
Institutionalization.
Shift the blame from Black to Hispanic
Contamination.
Send their parents away for
Deportation.
Fear Muslim terror, feed myth, preserve the new
Confederation.
Oppression kills, stand aside for sanctioned
Neutralization.
We, god's chosen people must wage cultural
Extermination.
How long can silence swallow
Desperation?
How many lives lost before
Realization,
That freedom's flag flies on chains of
Exploitation?
Fists fly, fury high; Who will quell the
Revolution?
Our People cry for Righteous
Retribution.
On the verge Of a broken
Nation,
Collapsing under its own
Indignation.
Society, Anomie, Atomized, waits in
Anticipation.
Who will rise? Savior of
Purification?
Of this land held tight by ink and
Colonization.
Or will the mighty crumble to political
Dissemination?
We the people of a free
Nation.
Freedom a breath away from
Detonation.
Children sleep in cages marked with
Registration.
Demons dress in laws, cloaked as
Legislation.
Will the land flare up into ashes, forged by
Domination?
But we,
we are the people of a free
Nation.

Hypocrisy, free nation seems an oxymoron, contradiction after contradiction. All nicely stated in this poem
A very interesting write, making you ask is there such a thing as a truly free nation, and have we allowed all this to go far, nicely expressed and written, enjoyed the read and the layout
Very interesting and great use of rhyme and insight this is great contemporary poetry- political, critical and necessary commentary on this age we live in,. great write ! Sincerely, Elizabeth
