The tree

Chai Tanner

The tree

Every tree starts as a seed,

And every tree has different needs,

As the years pass the tree changes

The tree withstands the ages

But as the seasons go by

The tree slowly begins to die

It no longer produces fruit

And it then has no use

Tosses aside

Feeling denied

And yet it still has purpose

From the past fruits

She will survive

She will be alive

If not physically herself

But something else…

A new life

With new strife

A new seed

A new tree

A great metaphor and so is life in general. Evolution in a bottle so to speak. Keep your genes in the gene pool. Immortality on tap. Good write
