Void

Alan R

Void, doesn’t go through me

Like grief does (Hell, I wish it did)

But it holds me quiet, still

Locked from the inside in a willing cage

The grip of my freeze response

Stronger than my rage.

Insightful and cleverly worded this poem makes rhyme work for it. Nicely done
