Forgotten Ukraine.

Poetic Licence

Notice of absence from Poetic Licence
It's a new week.
New optimism.
New hope.
Will it last ?.

Forgotten Ukraine.

While we are blindsided by the ongoing tragedy in Gaza.

That lunatic Putin and his army are moving even closer.

Piece by piece advancing and taking over Ukraine.

To reunite the Soviet Union, his one and only aim.

We should all remember Ukraine is an innocent nation.

They did nothing to provoke the continuing invasion.

With the help of his friends from China and Korea.

Putin could not have made his intentions any clearer.

Thousands of totally innocent people have already died.

Many thousands left with nothing except tears in their eyes.

While politicians continue to play the egotistical power game.

No one having the balls to say who is to really blame.

We ignored Putin’s preparations which were clear to see.

The world let him walk in unopposed and completely free.

If it was not for the bravery of the Ukrainian people.

Europe would be under more threat and a little bit smaller.

They're not just fighting to survive and remain a free nation.

They are fighting to save Europe from further invasion.

So, let's keep supporting the courageous Ukrainian land.

Do everything possible to ensure victory doesn't go to the Russian bully man.

Vladimir Zelenskyy is a true modern day Hero, he will be remembered in history books, and deserves the Nobel piece prize 🏆 one single man taking on Putin and Trump, I was so ashamed of humanity when trump tried to make him look silly in front of the world. Our world is surely broken for so many reasons mainly political bullies. We should all look for a peaceful future not war. 🌹

A most impassioned poem, a cry for liberty and independence not as a revolution but as a bulwark and tidal wall against spreading aggression and invasion. Powerfully written it makes its point clear. Nicely worded Tobani

I agree with your impassioned plea, Tobani—a sad spot in the heart for me. The annual cost to the nations of the world to feed, clothe, house, educate, and provide paths to joy for every child in the world is less than the nations of the world spend quarterly on armaments.

*cough, cough* It's not really Russia nor the Ruskies anymore than it's the Ukranians. It's the commies, they've always been ruthless, the Chinese know that too painfully well, as every other nationality and culture swallowed by the same. It's a life and death struggle. And Lenin was confident in boldly promising the future of the then free world, Senator McCarthy demonized for begging the Americans to wake up before they lost everything. Beautifully rendered with excellent imagery and a haunting poignancy. Thank you for sharing.
