Oh Distant Star

Baker

Oh distant star.

How I wish upon you.

But your lights faded.

Oh so many years ago.

Nebulas bring new life.

While old ones slowly fade.

 Galaxies flickering in the distance.

Steer us along the way.

I close my eyes.

Running my hands thru the grass.

Wishing as I drift into slumber.

Hoping your new light.

Finds its way to me.
