LAST SHADOW

nephilim56 ( Norman Dickson)

Your last shadow
Cast long
Remembered in time
The nearby dunes
Fragments
Align.

The surf filled
Your footprints
Small pools
In the wake
The beach salt
To taste.

A gypsy dress
Tanned golden thighs
The pleasure of you
Filled my hungry eyes
The seagulls above
Crying out loud
Tender the breeze
The slow moving clouds.

Your last shadow
Remained
You went away
The tide covered
The place
Where we lay.
