All tell you to be yourself
But as soon as you start voicing your opinion
The all tell you To
Shut up
Sit down
And conform to what everyone else does
Why
Why can't I be who I am
Why must I be who they tell me
I am an individual
With a
Mind
Heart
Soul
That belongs to me
Not them
I have a fire inside
I passionate fire
Yet
They would want me to squash it
To dim the flame
So I am just another mindless tool
For them to use
No
I refuse to go down quietly
No
I refuse to keep silent
I am an individual
I have a voice
I will express that voice
If they don't like it
FUCK'EM!

Well said, Tony, keep up the good fight. A poem to reckon with and fired from the hip. I have enjoyed this one, very much so. Excellent!
Fond regards,
Tony.
Thank you
Powerful stuff Tony
You have a really defiant streak I admire
If they want me to be a sheep
I'll always be a black sheep
Thank you
The voice of individualism cries from this poem. A nicely voiced call for being oneself in the crowd. Nicely said Tony
Thank you
You are most welcome
