Yet you are here

Gewar

We were burning,
Ready to set our lives ablaze,
Thundering voices,
Destroying everything we had,
And every word we spoke, it cut so very deep,
Like we were ready to watch each other bleed,
And we were deaf and blind and so enraged,
I was so scared,
I'll never forget,
The thought that now I will not ever see you,
Never feel you close,
Never hear your voice,
Saying 'I've missed you', asking me to stay with you,
Yet you are here,
Let's dry our tears.
