Lady Love, of eyes bright blue is falling,
Grasps loosely onto twilight shores
Fear’s loosened slightly by the hand she’s holding,
And yet drowned in the beating of a broken heart
I hold her tight, and love her whole,
She’s flying
She’s crying
And to me she’s clinging…
Tony:
“I will grab you, and cut you,
You miserable bitch
You’re a silly young whore,
I am drunk, I am sick
I will gut out my stomach,
‘Cause to my face you have lied
You told me you loved me,
You will pay with your life
Oh, Maureen, I hate you, I mean you no harm,
It’s my right to loathe you,
When you break my heart,
I am someone who’ll cut you,
‘Till out of your heart pours mass blood
I have worked for my rights,
As a good person should
But when you dress in that outfit,
Forgive me if I may,
Undress sermons of you
Hold you tight ‘till you’ll stay
Oh, Maureen, I’ll hurt you if of my heart you let go,
You will cry out my name, in your dreams I’m your ghost,
I want to tear into your heart,
I want you to see me as I cry,
I want to look into your frightened eyes,
And see me as I break down
All of the suffering and heartache is caused by you, you slut,
You and the drunken ways you choose to appear at my hut
I won’t lie to you, I’m drunk,
And I’m singing with bare bones
Because the woman for whom I fell,
Has a heart as healed as stones
I see you as the cracks are forming,
And in your heart you bleed
I will do unto you,
As you did to me…
So the way I chose to love you,
Is a fist into the face
And the way you choose to love me,
Is you fucking run away
Well, answer my pleading, bitch!
Can’t you see? You’ve left me scarred
Instead of counting all your wishes,
Come and hold his bleeding heart”
Maureen:
“I am the victim of the victimless,
Me, you will not kill,
You can hold me as I suffer,
Watch the tears stream down my face!”
Narrator:
Now…
Let’s take a break from this exchange,
And move onto a different role
Maureen, recognise her? Our hero,
Keep still on your feet, stay away from the street,
Hold your heart to your throat
Yes, kind hearted fools fall for mistakes,
But it’s better to be kind,
To be fooled, than to fake,
Now…
Let’s take a break from this exchange
The anger inside can take over,
She’s pleading with her heart in her head
Shaking, she’s collapsing beside you,
But you want to feel her dead
Scared of the eyes stood in front of you,
Those eyes, those piercing blue eyes,
“Please,” she cries out,
With your words to her mouth,
A victim of victimless tide
Drowned in a carnage of insults,
She holds out her hand,
For one last time
In a moment of silencing madness,
A light from the shadows withstands,
A hero, who holds her,
“What’s wrong?” Said he, with his hands on her knees,
As the woman sat before him, was drenched,
Scared she was,
Shakes and is held in his arms,
“Don’t you worry, you’re safe, I’ve got you,”

Here so many mixed messages lead to lack of trust and fear. A lovely write
Thank you so much, it’s deeply appreciated. This was probably the hardest piece I’ve ever written, so it means a lot to have received such lovely feedback. Thank you.
