remembrance

phragmidium

I remember how it felt, we sat, i held your hand

I meant what i said, youre unlike anyone i knew

The night left me daydreaming of the ways i could be your man

In ways that only my words can show you

They say im falling  for the idea of being fallen for

Though id say its more the thought of an open door

The other side leading to a fireplace roar, im welcomed home as we settle in

While i make popcorn with drinks as the lights dim

Outside a wonderland but in here a home in which id never let us feel alone

While we watch our favorite movies back to back

I think to myself “this is my favorite trap”

To be in this moment id be stuck in

If not for reality i was struck then

Id be here evermore leaving my boots by our door

But until that day, so far from now

I shall await, even until my final bow
