বৃষ্টি ভেজা রাতে, নেই কেউ হাঁটার আমার সাথে
একাই অনেক দূর চলে এলাম, পুরোটা পথ শুধু এটাই ভাবলাম—
"মানুষ কত সহজেই ভুলে যায়, কত সহজেই না ছেড়ে চলে যায়
আমায় কি তুমি কখনো আপন ভাবোনি, আমায় কি তুমি কখনোই ভালোবাসোনি?"
ভাবনায় হারিয়ে গেছি আমি, এ যেন এক গোলক ধাঁধা
উদ্বিগ্ন হলেও হার মানিনি, পেরিয়েছি আমি সকল বাধা
এতো ভাবনার মাঝে আমি তবুও, পাইনি কোনো কূল বা কিনারা
তাই বাস্তবতার নৌকায় চড়ে, খুঁজতে বেরই অচেনা গন্তব্যের ঠিকানা
কিন্তু এভাবে কতকাল খুঁজে বেরাবো, এই আশায় কতকাল মন কাঁদাবো?
"তোমায় আমি ফিরিয়ে আনব", এই বিশ্বাস কতকাল মনে বেঁধে রাখবো?
এভাবেই যত দিন যাচ্ছে, ততই আমি ভালোবাসায় বিশ্বাস হারাই
এই দুনিয়ায় তবে আমাদের, কারোর মনে কি হবে না ঠাঁই?

- Comment from author about the poem: Wrote this while thinking back on some old things, with some old people, and basically my own experiences in recent years. It's solely written in Bangla, didn't transliterate it either as I wanted to keep it this way.
