The Gates Are Shut For Gazans Still
The gates are shut for Gazans still,
Yet swing wide for those who kill—
Steel and fire their chosen creed,
While Gaza starves, denied all need.
No bread, no balm—just blood and tears,
Their cries unheard for countless years.
A people crushed, their land erased,
While kings grow fat and turn their face.
And Sisi, cloaked in borrowed might,
Bars the door and veils the light.
Once, dawn had whispered it was near—
Now spring lies buried deep in fear.
No saints, no kings—just hands unchained,
Yet empires crushed the hope they claimed.
By gold and gun, by silent nod,
They sealed the earth, they crowned the fraud.
No refuge left, no path, no plea,
Just the slow grind of history.
But Gaza writes in ash and flame,
Her children’s names defy the shame.
Each stone, a cry—not born of hate,
But shaped by wounds that won’t abate.
You cannot cage the sun’s last ray,
Nor drown the dawn in dark delay.
Though thrones may stand and lies endure,
The seed beneath the frost is sure.
From shattered earth, from shadows cast,
A song will rise—unbowed, steadfast.
Palestine breathes in every breath—
A life that outlives every death.
