PAINT ME A PICTURE

nephilim56 ( Norman Dickson)

Seraphs upon
Dainty feet
Cling to monuments
At Gods feet
His cold stone
Layered blocks
In gesture
Doors are locked.

From amphitheatre
Renaissance ways
Half naked model
In painters gaze
The cardinal
With money bags
Pays the traitors
Dressed in rags.

The scrawly beggars
Upon stinking street
Cup in hand
A meal to sneak
In garrets doorway
Love it cries
The prostitute
In disguise.

Here deception changes in a blink of an eye. A lovely poem that has a tarot card like feel to it where inverted meaning are made. Very nice
