Inner Struggle

RSM0812

With nothing but the struggle reached,

Upon horizons , skies beseached,

The sun does set, the birds will sway,

Their wings of flutter, soars the day.

The deep black sky, light by stars,

Accumulate and sigh, near but far,

For if to count the endless black,

The dim white starlight, turns its back,

And in an eye its flash will beckon,

As the earth shall give its final reckon,

Upon the still, the life and view,

Tomorrows will, the days anew.

My mind at peace, my life but through.

I'll dig a trench, and hide within,

Of dirt and shit and natures sin.

For if to war in fields of blood,

The battle finds the weakest one,

A second of their hindsight seen,

Will take them where they haven’t been.

And there they rest forever more,

For what the afterlife has in store.
