The Beginning

Salian

Chocolates lose flavor, promises fade,
Romance feels like a carefully scripted play.
Weddings? They say it’s the happiest day,
But sometimes it’s just stress dressed up in white and bouquet.
Vows sound so sweet, full of hope and cheer,
Though reality often doesn’t quite appear.
Rings shine bright — a symbol, not a cage,
But the real test begins once you leave the stage.
That “perfect dress” takes months to prepare,
While guests look on, caught in the affair.
Smiles are genuine, but nerves run deep,
As two lives merge and promises keep.
The DJ spins songs that feel both old and new,
Guests dance and laugh, sharing moments true.
Toasts made with care, some heartfelt, some light,
Celebrating love on this special night.
The honeymoon glows with fresh new dreams,
Though life will bring its ups and extremes.
Love’s not perfect, but it grows and bends,
And ‘til death do us part’ means making amends.
So savor the cake, enjoy the cheer,
Celebrate love, both far and near.
Weddings aren’t funerals, but neither pure bliss —
They’re a start, a hope, a careful kiss.
