The Same
Even the ashes whispered her name.
Whose name, you may ask—
A name carved not in stone,
but in the breath of things undone.
Of someone whose dreams had no limit,
and whose silence roared louder than thunder
in rooms that never knew her voice.
She touched the sky,
unlike people who were cuddling the ground.
She danced with the dusk,
while others begged the sun to stay.
No one could stop her except her own fate.
And even fate flinched,
when she smiled through the storm it sent.
However, in the end, all she could do was dream—
and there, all things were nothing but a dream.
The other people would say
she was nothing but the same,
nothing but someone happy dreaming behind a window.
