NinjaGirl

It's been so many years

But the time feels irrelevant

I've been suffering so long

That it almost feels short

A small part of my life

Though having lasted long

And now I realize

If I want to seek a report

Get a police re-investigation

Go to court

Perhaps sue for emotional distress

I only have two months

Before the years catch up

And it will have been too long

To do anything about it.

Time, procrastination, hesitation, decision where courage and discretion weigh in the balance nicely written.

True poetry can not be out of practice for it comes from the heart that is always beating

          What a beautiful line...

If one looses fear everything one says becomes truth and beauty

A very difficult decision to make, feeling you want justice, understanding to try to put the pain to bed, then on the other hand do I really want to relive it all. I faced a similier situation many years ago, I chose to leave it and even to this day I am not sure I made the right decision. Wishing you all the best

The Statute of Limitations applies to crimes formally, but yes it applies to the events of our lives and what we do about them... wait to long and the remedies may be barred... welcome back.
